The Medical College of Wisconsin, Department of
Pediatrics, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Children’s
Research Institute are seeking to hire an experienced, highly
motivated clinical researcher to serve as the Associate Director
of The Center for Clinical Effectiveness Research. The Center for
Clinical Effectiveness Research is funded by Children’s Hospital
of Wisconsin, Children’s Specialty Group (the physician practice
group) and the Department of Pediatrics. The institutions have
made significant commitments to the Center and its’ success as a
recognizable, highly productive research program. The Center will
house faculty from across multiple disciplines who are conducting
clinical effectiveness research and bring opportunities for
collaboration in research. The Center has access and support from
existing resources such as research coordinator and biostatistical
support. Ideal candidates should have a PhD or equivalent with
experience in a clinically related field such as epidemiology and
public/population health. Experience in chronic disease
epidemiology or research over the course of the life cycle
preferred. Additionally, significant accomplishments in a clinical
effectiveness research area; including a track record of research
publications and independent funding is preferred. Demonstrated
abilities in research mentorship are also valued.
Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW) is a rapidly
growing nationally recognized facility located on the suburban
campus of the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center. The hospital is
a 290 bed, tertiary care center that was recently ranked #3 in the
nation by Parents Magazine. The Medical College of
Wisconsin is a large private medical school that fosters academic
and clinical excellence and offers MD as well as graduate degrees
in health sciences. In addition, the College has a Clinical
Translational Science Institute of Southeast Wisconsin that
includes the campus research partners and the major academic
institutions in Southeast Wisconsin. Milwaukee, a community of
1,500,000 on the shore of Lake Michigan offers an affordable,

public and private schools, and a wide array of cultural, culinary
and recreational activities.
