About the Position:
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to
join our multidisciplinary research group
focused
on
caner epidemiology, survivorship, and
outcomes research. The fellow will contribute to
cutting- edge projects aimed at understanding cancer
etiology, early detection, risk prediction, prevention,
and control. This position provides opportunities to
design and analyze large epidemiologic studies, work
with high dimensional data, and collaborate with leading
experts across oncology, genetics, data science and
public health.
Key
Responsibilities:
·
Conduct independent and collaborative research on cancer
risk, prevention, survivorship and outcomes.
·
Design and perform epidemiologic and biostatistical
analyses of large population- based datasets (e.g. SEER,
NHANES, Multi-Institutional Cohorts, Electronic Health
Records).
·
Contribute to
study
design, grant
writing,
IRB
protocols, and data
collection instruments.
·
Develop and
validate
risk
prediction
models
integrating
demographic,
behavioral, molecular, and genetic data.
·
Lead
and
co-author
scientific
manuscripts
and
conference
presentations.
·
Mentor
graduate
students
and
laboratory staff
as
appropriate.
·
Engage in
professional development, career
planning, training workshops,
and conference presentations provided by the
institution
Qualifications:
·
PhD, DrPH,
ScD,
or MD
with
strong
quantitative training in
epidemiology,
biostatistics,
cancer
biology,
population
health, or
related
fields.
·
Demonstrated
experience with statistical
software
(R,
SAS,
Stata)
·
Strong
publication
record or
evidence
of
ability to
publish
peer-reviewed manuscripts.
·
Excellent
written and
oral
communication skills.
·
Ability to
work
both
independently and as
a part
of a
collaborative, interdisciplinary team.
Preferred
Experience:
·
Analysis of omics data (genomics, transcriptomics,
proteomics) or large linked health
datasets.
·
Familiarity with survival analysis, causal inference, risk
modeling, and machine
learning.
·
Background in
health
disparities or
social
determinants of health in cancer.
