Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, Epidemiology, T/TE
The University of Arizona (Department of Epidemiology and
Biostatistics at the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of
Public Health (MEZCOPH) and the University of Arizona
Cancer Center (UACC) seek a dynamic leader for a fiscal
(12-month) position as a tenure-eligible or tenured
Assistant or Associate Professor or Professor of
Epidemiology with the potential for serving as Deputy
Director of the Skin Cancer Institute (https://azskincancerinstitute.org
).
We are seeking candidates with a demonstrated ability to
contribute to original, creative, and multidisciplinary
research in cancer epidemiology and cancer prevention. A
successful candidate’s research should complement current
areas of strengths in the Epidemiology Program and UACC.
The successful candidate is expected to develop and/or
teach the equivalent of 2-3 courses per year, including
graduate-level courses and/or undergraduate courses,
mentor graduate students, and contribute to the research
and service missions of the college. Experience in
community-based studies and skin cancer epidemiology are
relevant for also serving with the Skin Cancer Institute.
The MEZCOPH is currently the only nationally accredited
College of Public Health in the state of Arizona. The
College and University have numerous innovative teaching,
research, and service programs and is a valued partner in
community-based research projects addressing health issues
relevant to border communities and indigenous populations.

strong outreach and educational programs to improve
diagnosis and outcomes.
