Assistant Vice President, Research
The R. Stuart Dickson Institute for Health Studies is an interdisciplinary, collaborative program of applied research and public health studies assisting CHS in understanding the healthcare environment changes through evaluation and research. Our principal mission is to foster and facilitate research performed at CHS with the purpose of enhancing the quality of health care and systems of delivery. Our staff consists of research epidemiologists, health policy analysts, biostatisticians, health services researchers, database managers and support personnel with diverse research interests, including research and database design, cardiology, obstetrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, radiology, statistical methods for magnetic resonance imaging, neurology (specifically ALS and Alzheimer’s), community-based program evaluation, spatial analysis and advanced quantitative analytic methods. Additionally, our staff serves as faculty for clinical research/medical student/resident education and as consultants for clinical and community research as well as providing in-house analysis for evaluating the quality of care. Here's an opportunity to direct all activities of the R. Stuart Dickson Institute for Health Studies and the Center for Clinical Data Analysis. Responsibilities include supervision of data collection and acquisition for clinical-based research and outcomes; and management of research planning/evaluation activities for CHS, serving as the principal research/methodological consultant to physicians, faculty, and administrators for clinical-based research. Qualified candidates must possess a PhD in epidemiology, biostatistics, health services research or other health related field. Requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
