Tenure Track Faculty Position – Biostatistics/Epidemiology
The University of Delaware College of Health Sciences (CHS) in collaboration with the College of Education and Public Policy (CEPP) and the State of Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) is recruiting a full-time tenure-track faculty at the assistant or associate professor level with expertise in biostatistics/epidemiology. Successful candidates will have evidence of a sustained record of scholarly activities, demonstrated competence in teaching with experience in graduate and undergraduate teaching, and a record of successful collaborative research. Doctorate in either clinical or population-based epidemiology, or Masters degree and/or commensurate experience in epidemiology with doctorate in a related field; doctoral candidates will be considered. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience. The University provides an excellent benefit package.
Major responsibilities of the position include:
1 )Collaborate with researchers in the development of research grant proposals, the development of experimental designs, and statistical analysis of data.
2) Provide database management and analysis expertise.
3) Collaborate with the state public health agency on community based projects and studies of public health problems
4) Provide teaching expertise for the undergraduate Public Health minor, and Behavioral Health and Health Policy academic programs.
5) Conduct independent research
6) Supervise undergraduate and graduate student research.
