The Department of Epidemiology
and Population Health in the School of Public Health and
Information Sciences at the University of Louisville, is
seeking applicants for two tenure-track positions
beginning Fall 2018, one open rank and the other at
Associate level or higher. Candidates for Associate or
Full Professor should have a record of peer-reviewed
publications and extramural funding commensurate with
their rank. Applicants with a doctoral degree in
epidemiology from an accredited program are strongly
preferred. Applicants with an MD or PhD in a related area
with >5 years direct training and experience in teaching
and research in epidemiology may be considered.
Candidates must be willing to
collaborate within the department as well as within the
school and university with regard to research initiatives.
All areas of expertise within epidemiology will be
considered. Current strengths include genetic, molecular,
cancer, social and reproductive epidemiology, maternal
child and global health. The Department of Epidemiology
and Population Health has established M.P.H., M.S., and
Ph.D. curricula. The school has a rapidly growing
undergraduate program in public health to which applicants
will be expected to contribute. All tenure-track faculty
members are expected to engage in teaching as well as
research and service. We are seeking individuals
interested in the challenges and opportunities associated
with joining a small but dynamic department.

The School of Public Health and Information
Sciences is fully accredited by the Council on Education
for Public Health, and shares the downtown Health Sciences
Campus with the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, and
Nursing as well as the Greater Louisville Department of
Health and Wellness.
