Carle
Health is seeking a dynamic Director to lead our expanding
Health Outcomes Department at Carle Foundation Hospital in
Urbana, Illinois.
Job Responsibilities Include:
·
Develop understanding of regional health challenges, relevant
national, state and local policies, resources and systems to
identify community health challenges relevant to Carle’s
mission and vision that are amenable to health system led
solutions.
·
Evaluate regional community project proposals with clear
understanding of the relevant supporting policy, systems and
environmental changes to reduce chronic disease in regions
Carle serves. Propose evidence based solutions appropriate for
the regions and population Carle serves.
·
Responsible for planning and implementing evaluation
activities; the identification, analysis and interpretation of
public health data sources to support ongoing program needs;
and producing reports to summarize findings, support program
decisions and meet deliverables.
·
Provide consultation and direct program design, analysis
plans, interpretation of results, and direct development of
progress reports.
·
Consult with local, state and national voluntary and
governmental agencies, or with scientists at other
institutions.
·
Provide consultation and direction to programmer analysts with
regard to data management and analysis strategies.
·
Produce a comprehensive, robust monitoring and evaluation
system that will ensure tracking of project/ program results
for discussion and review by Carle’s senior leadership team.
·
Conduct program assessments on proposed, in-flight, and legacy
program across Carle Health’s portfolio and socialize findings
with Carle’s executive leadership team.
Required Qualifications:
·
Masters (MPH, MS) or Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Dr.PH, MD, Sc.D)
in epidemiology, health services analysis, economics or
related field required. Doctoral degree preferred.

At least five (3-5) years of experience consulting for health
system community health strategies preferred with at least 2
years of direct experience in a position of monitoring and
evaluation of large-scale projects. New graduates with
relevant experience will be considered.

Competent in the statistical techniques, study designs and
general analysis methods commonly used in epidemiological and
health services analysis.
·
Ability to present population health and health care data in a
manner that supports decision-making.
·
Knowledge, skills and abilities successfully perform the
duties of the position to include experience in assisting with
planning, implementing or evaluating community health
management strategies.
·
Communication skills needed to interact with executive
leaders, community leaders and key external or internal
stakeholders.
·
Strong experience in
conducting comprehensive studies including the entire
evaluation cycle, from design and formulation to
implementation, analysis and presentation of results and
recommendations.
