Harvard Medical School is seeking applications for a
research faculty position at the Assistant or Associate
Professor level.
Department
The MGH Clinical and
Translational Epidemiology Unit (CTEU) is a research
unit within the Department of Medicine
(DOM)
and Mongan
Institute. The core mission
of the
CTEU is
to advance epidemiologic investigation for
the
translation of discoveries
into
effective
clinical
interventions.
The CTEU
utilizes,
develops,
and
optimizes cutting edge epidemiologic methods to discover
and characterize determinants of human health, develop
novel preventive and therapeutic interventions, and
elucidate molecular biomarkers for the development of
precision medicine strategies. Approaches include the
analysis of traditional epidemiologic exposures, as well
as novel genetic, biochemical, metabolomic, proteomic,
and microbial biomarkers.

Position
Description
The faculty member will have an opportunity to build a
robust research program. Candidates with the skills to
develop,
implement, disseminate, and
evaluate
tools
and
technologies that leverage
epidemiologic methods to address
chronic disease outcomes, including but not limited to
cancer, cardiovascular disease, metabolic diseases, and
diseases of aging. Evidence of ability to effectively
collaborate in a team science environment is
essential.

disparities, social determinants
of
health, and/or
structural racism, whether as a primary or supplemental
focus.
Basic
Qualifications
The
successful candidate will have
earned
an M.D, Ph.D. or
equivalent, and have
a
demonstrated
record of
success in clinical and translational research,
including original publications and independent funding.
Academic
rank
of Assistant Professor or
Associate Professor at
Harvard
Medical School
will
be
commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary
and benefits will be commensurate with experience,
training, and
achievements.
