Tenure Track Position in Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Community Health Sciences
 
Description: The Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Community Health Sciences offers several graduate programs in the fields of public health, epidemiology, gerontology, biostatistics and nutrition (M.P.H., M.Sc., M.A. and Ph.D.). The academic activities led by the department’s faculty members encompass a broad range of epidemiological research fields, i.e., nutritional, genetic, environmental, perinatal, aging, social and pharmaceutical epidemiology. The faculty members produce impactful work that has been published in high-ranking journals. The department's research has been influential in informing health policy both on national and international levels.

The department’s research activities include processing large data sets using state of the art statistical analysis methods and the development of novel tools addressing the concurrent challenging data processing needs.

The successful candidate is expected to lead an independent and collaborative research program, attract and supervise master's/Ph.D. students, apply for research funding through competitive grants, publish in high ranked, international peer review journals, advise researchers and clinical staff on bio-statistical methods and teach both basic and advanced biostatistics and epidemiology courses.
 
Basic Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in Epidemiology or Biostatistics or Public health and related fields, Post-doctoral training, in academic institutions abroad, excellent teaching skills (in Hebrew and English).

5.    Publications 1;2;3;4. The candidate should select a number of representative recent publications. Priority should be given to papers in which the candidate is first or last author.
6.    Statement of Current and Future Research.
7.    Statement of Teaching Philosophy.

For the rank of Lecturer: 3-4 References, at least 2 "independent" and at least 2 from institutions abroad.
For the rank of Senior Lecturer:  4-5 References, at least 2 "independent" and at least 2 from institutions abroad.
For the rank of Professor: 5-6 References, at least 4 "independent" and at least 3 from institutions abroad.

Note:
One of the letters should be from the candidate's supervisor (Ph.D., M.Sc., Post Doc)
