Not a day goes by at the EpiMonitor that we don't talk to an institution looking to hire someone as an epidemiologist, biostatistician or other public health professional. All of us are aware of how COVID and the DOGE cuts have impacted this market. For job seekers there are fewer job opportunities to choose from. For employers it has become more difficult to attract applicants who are currently in jobs that they regard as safe. When employers talk to us they are eager to hear:
We can answer some of these questions but not all of them and we'd like to ensure that the ads they post answer the questions you have. To do that we need information from you. So we're launching our Fall 2026 Job Seeker Survey. The link below will take you to our survey site to answer a dozen quick questions. While this survey is predominantly designed to help our advertisers attract applicants, we think you deserve to know what your peers are looking for too. So once the survey closes we'll post the results and you'll be able to see what the active pool of applicants looks like this fall. Thanks in advance for your help with this - it's the first of several surveys that we'll be running in the coming year to ensure that the EpiMonitor provides you with the information you want and need.
