Vast quantities of data are collected in the context of routine cancer care delivery and increasingly hospitals, physicians and patients participate in data sharing networks that create large repositories of information. By integrating, developing and deploying analytic tools to harness this information the successful candidate is expected to build knowledge that will accelerate discovery and support more strategic delivery of cancer care.

The candidate is expected to have completed an MD and/or PhD with post-doctoral training in health informatics, engineering, medicine, epidemiology, or related field. Applicants should have demonstrated early success manifest as a strong track record of publication or receipt of peer-reviewed funding. This dry-laboratory position will be based at the DFCI in the Division of Population Sciences. The successful candidate will build an independent research program that has synergy with investigators focused on the full spectrum cancer data science from across the DFCI, BWH, HMS and its affiliates. Candidates must have an MD and/or a PhD and are expected to meet the criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor at HMS.
