We are
seeking highly motivated candidates for one or more
post-doctoral fellowship positions. The postdoctoral fellow
will have the opportunity to participate in several
extramurally-funded projects focused on cancer epidemiology.
We seek applications from
exceptional individuals with strong quantitative
analytic skills in epidemiology, public health,
biostatistics, and other
related
areas. Specific
projects
include a
rural cancer survivors cohort, older Asian cancer survivors cohort, cancer
caregivers cohort, and identifying recurrences in
population-based linked data.
Positions
are for
one year
with
possibility of
renewal
for multiple
years.
The
position is designed to prepare individuals for independent
academic research careers.
Individuals selected for
this
position(s) will
have
opportunities to lead
and/or co-author manuscript publications and to share
project investigator role(s) in a manner commensurate with
their experience and effort.

Minimum
Qualifications:
PhD, MD,
or other doctoral degree, preferably in epidemiology, public
health biostatistics, or in health-related discipline from
an accredited program. The applicant will have a
demonstrated record of scientific accomplishment as
evidenced by at least one first author peer-reviewed publication in a scientific
journal. Advanced statistical analysis
skills are
also
required.
Preferences
Experience with data management and analysis for
epidemiologic studies and large datasets. Women and
individuals from populations underrepresented in biomedical
disciplines are strongly encouraged to apply. Prior
experience/knowledge in longitudinal data with repeated
measures is an added advantage.
Salary level is competitive and in compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act for postdoctoral researchers.
