Position in Biomedical and Health Informatics
The Department of Population and
Quantitative Health Sciences (PQHS) at Case Western
Reserve University (CWRU) invites applications for an
open-rank tenure-track or tenured faculty position in
Biomedical and Health Informatics (BHI). We seek
outstanding candidates at any career stage who are
motivated to build, expand, and sustain an innovative,
forward-looking research program. Leadership opportunities
may be discussed for outstanding experienced candidates.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will demonstrate:

A PhD, MD, or equivalent terminal degree in
Biomedical and Health Informatics or a closely related
field
♦
Expertise in one or more areas of BHI, with
a strong scholarly record
♦
External research funding commensurate with
experience and academic rank
♦
Interest in both independent and
collaborative research within a highly interdisciplinary
environment
Areas of Strategic Interest
While candidates with expertise across all areas of BHI
are encouraged to apply, the department has a strong
strategic interest in artificial intelligence–driven
approaches to biomedical and medical research, including:

CWRU has a rapidly growing BHI educational
program, offering PhD, MS, and certificate programs. The
BHI program is embedded within the Department of
Population and Quantitative Health Sciences, which also
houses five additional MS and PhD programs, fostering a
rich, interdisciplinary academic environment. Faculty have
opportunities to contribute to innovative graduate
education, mentor trainees across disciplines, and

Cleveland Pay Transparency Ordinance
Statement
The annual
starting base salary range for this position is from
130,000-300,000. CWRU considers factors such as (but
not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the
position, candidate’s work experience, education/training,
key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and
organizational considerations when extending an offer.
