Bagchi School of Public Health at Ahmedabad University invites applications and nominations for the positions listed below.

Assistant / Associate / Full Professor

Qualifications & Experience:

♦       PhD or equivalent degree (e.g. DrPH, ScD), preferably in one of the following focus areas: (a) Environmental health; (b) Epidemiology (with strong methods expertise); (c) Biostatistics; (d) Data Science / Artificial Intelligence applications for health and/or environment.

♦       Minimum one year of experience, publications including first-author publications in reputed journals, and some pertinent teaching experience. A medical or paramedical background is highly desirable.

♦       Proven track record of procuring external funds is expected at Associate and Full Professor levels.

♦        Ability to conduct interdisciplinary research and to contribute to translating research into action would be a plus.

Associate Dean: The role of the Associate Dean will be to work with the Dean to provide visionary leadership in planning, developing, and overseeing academic and research programmes, and other initiatives and key activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

♦        PhD or equivalent degree in a key public health discipline.

♦        A medical background will be a plus.

♦        Associate or Full Professor at a reputed public health institution.

♦        A distinguished record of scholarship, demonstrated excellence in higher education, research, or public health practice and administration in a leadership capacity.

♦        A successful track record of securing external funding from ICMR/other Indian or international entities.
